Hanging Fruit Basket

A hanging fruit basket adds a spark to another wise drab room in your home.  These baskets don't take up much space at all and perfect for your old boring kitchen.  Today everyone is trying or saying they are trying to eat healthier.  With a hanging fruit basket you always have fresh fruit on hand.  Having a healthy snack in proximity will automatically improve your diet.  These baskets are much better than a standard run of the mill fruit bowl because bowls are big and the fruit is stacked on top of each other and hard to see what's in it.  Also with a bowl fruit will spoil much faster because they do not have space to breathe like they do with a hanging basket.

Although these are called hanging fruit baskets, it can of course be used for fruit or anything else you want to store like veggies or small supplies.  If your kitchen is incredibly small, like mine, you can have two baskets.  I use one for fruit and the second for kitchen supplies.  One important tip is to not use the basket for incredibly heavy or sharp items.  Also make sure the item you put in the basket is big enough so it will not fall through and hit you on the head.  It would be a very embarrassing ambulance call if that happened.

There are many types and styles of hanging fruit baskets to choose from.  The type you choose is all up to your preference, your kitchen design and your lifestyle.

A copper and/or bronze hanging fruit basket is great if you prefer a country rustic style preference.  The basket usually will have three baskets and is suspended on a hook from the ceiling.  The most economical bronze and copper baskets measure 30 inches high by 12 inches deep.

A chrome style of hanging fruit basket also usually comes in 3 tiers.  Chrome is a great look for people who prefer a contemporary kitchen.  It goes great with stainless steel appliances which have been all the rage in the last decade or so.  The hanging fruit isn't only nutritional; it also adds a brilliant pop of color, kind of a literal pop art still life piece.  Just like the copper/bronze baskets the typical dimension is 30 by 12.

A woven hanging fruit basket is just like the other baskets discussed above just that as you expect it is not metal, but made of softer material like cloth or canvas.  The woven look is also softer on your eyes.  The size is similar to the other 3 tier baskets.

Along with the three tier baskets we have discussed, there is also a two tier hanging fruit basket.  These are made for people who have low ceilings or if you want to hang them right under the counter.  There are basically three different styles for the two tiers which are copper, chrome or nickel.  As you can expect the two tiers is smaller and typically at most 24 inches high.

There are many types of hanging fruit baskets and if you want to eat healthier is something you should consider.  Just sit down for a few minutes to decide which you prefer to beautify both your kitchen and your body.
